Bogner News

A note about the website!

There have been a lot of changes on the products, as well as new released products, which are currently not listed on this website, our sincere appologie to all the people checking in here searching for information they can't find.

A new website was planned for close to two years but lack of time has set us back month after month. Finaly the site is taking some form and is currently at Fluxar Studios for programming.

The design and concept was created with designer and friend Andreas, check out his new project "themask".

For film & sound content we formed a partnership with GregVmusic , another old friend.
With this team of creative people we will bring you a new Bogner experiance.

Here is a taste of what will come very soon.

Very Important, please read ! The New Standard Cosmetics

Please be aware that dealers might not have pictures with current cosmetics as well and that there are still a lot of new products with old cosmetics in circulation!

July 2009 - Uberschall "Twin Jet"

Even so 2012 is still a few years away the new Uberschall Twin Jet will give you a glance at what will happen when all hell breaks loose. Currently gearing up for production these will available later summer. Twin Jets refering to having two powerfull gain channels on tap versus the Uberschalls traditional clean and gain setup. The poweramp is beefed up to 150W with a quad of KT88's, additional contols to suite your overall bass response and power amp presence were added. The ex-clean channel goes from semi cleans to hot rod gain where as the bass control was designed to dial in the tightness or focus one prefers.
The Uberschall Cabinet was redesigned for a more "in your face" sound, the old design was by no means flat sounding but the new one just gives you a dimensional openess with just the right touch of aggressiveness. For more information visit the Twin Jet site.

June 2009 - "Mojado"

The Mojado mini Bogner is in production and will be in stores by late July. Evolved out of the second amp from the Duende Seco Mojado the circuit was changed so the amp not only functions as a power amp but can be used by itself as a head. Don't be fooled by the simplicity of just a Volume and the Schizo gain-tone control, this amp can produce chimey cleans all the way up to sweet overdriven tones, visit the Mojado site.

Guitarist Australia (June/July Issue 21, 2008) awards the Bogner Shiva (EL34 Reverb Head) the "Guitarist Choice Award"
"All in all the Shiva is a great amp that's simple to use, has heaps of power and produces serious solid tones. It's a getting - down - to - business amp that has everything the pro player needs without the any peripheral stuff that other manufactures include as vaue added features, to sell you on their product. This amp sells itself."

Duende review in Guitarist April 2008
"Perhaps one easy way to understand what this amp can do is to think of it as the ultimate supercharged Tweed Deluxe"

Namm Show January 2008

New Products

Duende 30W with a pair of 6L6, available as head, 1x12, or 2x12 combo
For the players which want more headroom and a bit tighter feel.
.

Duende 1x10 combo
This amp has an adjusted power amp which includes a special designed output transformer for great tone at low volumes through an Emminence speaker. We use a 5y3 rectifier tube to get the power down from 15 to 12, but it's not so much about the power as it is about efficiency of the output transformer and speaker. It took us a while to dial the enclosure, speaker and amp in to our satisfaction but in the end it was worth the trouble. This amp sounds different then the regular Duende and oh boy if you turn it all the way up you get a great sound as well.

Duende 1x10 (40lbs) versus 1x12 (50lbs)

Duende 812 "Seco Mojado"
This amp has the regular 15W Duende through the front 12" speaker and a second 15W power amp mounted inside the combo on bottom which drives a pair of Weber 8" speakers on the left and right side. The reverb signal is taped on the main amp and fed through the second power amp so you get the dry sound through the front 12"er and the reverb through the 8"ers on the sides. This gives a real dimensional sound, especially in an enclosed room you have the sound bouncing back from the walls. The second power amp features an additional input so you can run other effects into it, think delay or a leslie .... for a real space excursion. Endless possibilities!

Also available from now on are two tone custom colors. Two styles will be available, Piping Style and the less expensive Overlap Style

NEW REDESIGNED METROPOLIS REVERB

Metropolis features our newly designed Reverb circuit! We had to change the reverb circuit in the Metropolis because we're so spoiled by our excellent sounding Shiva reverb.Unfortunately you can't just put the Shiva circuit into the Metropolis because they're two different worlds. The tube reverb is now driven by a pair of 12AX7WB's and an EL84. The amp has one input for reverb and one which bypasses the reverb completely. The non-reverb Metropolis still has the two differently voiced inputs. However, it's not possible with either amp, to A/B the inputs with an A/B Box, because in order for one input to work properly the other one needs to be unplugged. For an additional $150 we offer a drive and tone control for the reverb as well as a jack to connect any standard on/off footswitch to bypass the reverb, all located on the back panel. The Metropolis, also features shock mounted circuitry and is now offered in a 2x10" and 4x10" Combo!
