2x12

We offer four distinct styles of 2x12 cabinets which come standard wired in parallel to 8 ohms. While we think the difference between parallel or series wiring is subjective, most players agree that parallel wiring has a slightly nicer feel. With the exception of the Goldfinger and Helios style all 2x12's are loaded with Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. For other available speaker choices, or options for 16 ohm wiring, please click on the "S" specification icon.

212C closed back large size, optional open back

Our large size Bogner 2x12 rivals most 4x12's in sound coverage with the advantage of being easily transported. A fixed slightly angled baffle board, with screwed on grill frame, matches the construction of our 4x12 straight cabinet. In addition to the two metal bar side handles there is also a top handle and casters that are removable via a sliding base-plate. Compared to a more traditional sized 2x12 the increased internal cabinet volume results in an unparalleled hugeness of sound. These 2x12 cabinets are quite flexible and can easily be converted to open or closed back with our optional rear panels that are available separately. The cabinet can also be ordered with both panels (212C/O), in that case the cabinet will be shipped as a closed back so that everything can be sent in one box.

212CH closed back large size, optional open back

The same cabinet like the 212C in black bronco/levant tolex to compliment the Helios and Telos Amplifiers. Loaded with a Celestion V30 and Creamback 65 wired in parallel to 8 ohms. The cabinet can also be ordered with both panels (212C/OH), in that case cabinet will be shipped as closed back so that everything can be send in one box.

212OS open back

The 212OS is more traditional in size and sound, it has the same construction and dimensions as the Duende, Shiva and Metropolis 2x12 combos. Available as an open back only with a top handle and heavy duty rubber feet (no casters). For lower powered amplifiers like our Duende or Metropolis we recommend using a Celestion G12H30 in combination with a Greenback 25.

212OGF-P pine open back

With the introduction of the Goldfinger 54 Phi in January 2016 we released this pine version of our very successful Goldfinger 212OGF cabinet.  Slightly smaller with less weight this version is even more resonant. Reminiscent of the classic 4x10 size, the square retro styled cabinet features diagonally mounted Celestion G12H30 and Creamback 65 speakers for a total power handling of 60 watts.

While the cabinet is named after the Goldfinger it can be used with any amplifier as long as the power rating of is within the range of the cabinet!

212OGF open back

The Goldfinger is a very unique amplifier so it was only natural for us to create a unique cabinet to go with it. Reminiscent of the classic 4x10 size, the square retro styled cabinet features diagonally mounted Celestion G12H30 and Greenback 25 speakers. This is perhaps the most resonant of our 2x12 cabinets. The wide open back projects sound all around the room with a fresh breeze of tone.

While the cabinet is named after the Goldfinger it can be used with any amplifier. Of course, the same applies to the Goldfinger amplifier as long as the power handling of the speakers allows. (note - due to the 50 watt power handling, this cabinet is not suitable for the "Goldfinger 90")

212CB closed back stack cabinet

Constructed like our 4x12's this low profile closed back only 2x12 cabinet was originally intended to be paired and stacked with a 4x12 on top. The depth gives this cabinet a very full sound, highly recommended for higher gain. Speakers are rear loaded but the cabinet can be special ordered as front loaded for an even more aggressive sound. Removable casters with a sliding base-plate are standard.

One of Japan's most famous bands, the "Bz's", like to stack these cabs but many players love to use them by itself. If you plan to pair it with a 4x12 please be advised that most are wired to 16 ohms, in this case please specify that you need the 212 cabinet wired to 16 ohms.

We also offer a "vertical" version (212CBV). They are identical with the exception of the rubber feet and casters being relocated to the end, in addition the Bogner logo is mounted horizontally. The vertical version allows you to have two identical cabinets with small footprints, that take up very little room but sound massive, position them exactly where you want to get your preferred stereo separation. Also perfect in a wet dry wet rig with a 4x12 in the center.
